A leader who doesn't represent demographic make up of his country rarely ends well

Napoleon, was of an Italian descent and only 'became" French. Didn't end well.
Hitler, an Austrian who ended up ruling Germany. A debacle of historical proportions.
Stalin would be another beaute based on the fatalities sustained.
More recent would be Obama in US, although one could argue he wasn't worse than Bush Jr.
Zelensky in Ukraine.
I think there's some validity to screening future candidates based on policy as well as race/ethnicity.

Many of the Bolshevik leaders weren't Russian. Stalin was from Georgia, Trotsky was Ukrainian and Lenin was a mix of Tatar/German/Swedish.
