D 1
Will be between Catholic, Jesuit, Brother Martin and Holy Cross with St Paul's and St Amant possibly making a strong showing.
Catholic looks to be the favorite this year winning La Duals and The Classic.
D2
Between St Thomas More, Teurlings, Rummel and North DeSoto
St Thomas More looking strong this year taking second in the Classic, with Rummel finishing 7th and Teurlings finishing 9th. N DeSoto didn't wrestle in the classic.
D3
Between Basile and Rosepine with De La Salle and Curtis in the mix.

How does St Paul's look?

Not bad, they finished 6th in the Classic with Connor Ayala finishing first at 113, Caleb Shartle taking first at 190 and John Martinez finishing 2nd at 215.

Shartle's thighs are the size of tree trunks but he moves like a cat.

Need to get this thing moved out of Bossier. The parents having to stage an uprising to get Brookshire Arena to allow competing athletes to bring their own food was the last straw for me.

Already done, next year it's at the convention center in N.O.
The kids can bring food in this year, but supposedly it's limited... The arena doesn't sell the food those kids eat.. My kid has bagels, rice cakes and honey for day 1, Day 2, after weigh in, he'll get to eat whatever he wants. Hopefully the convention center doesn't cause shite with food...
Always thought it was nuts that it was in Bossier, but they get the arena for free...
90% of the teams in state run along the I-10 corridor..

When did Rosepine become a contender in D3? I have only been out of the loop a few years but.....

Rosepine has three top seeds, including Hunter Glaze (132), Zach Preece (144) and Caleb Preece (215). The Eagles have 11 seeded wrestlers.

a 13 year old girl from John Curtis won the Boys 119# Jr High State Championship last week.

Appreciate the insight, good luck to them!

Not to take anything away from her, she's that good, but she's been wrestling since she was a little girl. However, she's probably stronger than most JH boys, and most of those JH kids have been wrestling less than a year..
She started with Bayou Elite Wrestling club, moved to the Crusader Club, now she's with the Raider Wrestling club. Her goal is to be a 5 time state champ which I can see her doing in the girl's division.

her older brother wrestled for Brother Martin (I think) and was pretty good too.

How common is it for a wrestler to go undefeated in high school?

Does not happen often. Pretty rare especially for a full season.

I know a guy who’s cousin went 50 or 51-0 or something like that at holy cross awhile back.

Morgan is awesome. She's wrestled a little bit at Gladiators years ago when my oldest was first starting wrestling.
