Its actually on our smaller Island Tobago.

Our head of national security was asked about it and he said it is there and will stay there along with US military personnel. Works in conjunction with drones and satellite.

If you look at a map you will see a peninsula in Venezuela to the northeast that juts out into the Caribbean. That area is notorious for drug shipping, its a modern day Port Royal run by gangs.

Further to the east you see Tobago. Its ideal to set up radar to monitor Venezuelan waters.

Probably why you arent hearing about strikes in the Caribbean and most of the action is on the Pacific side now.

Our prime minister has been very supportive and outspoken about our support for the US, Rubio, and Trump.

I named my "fishing boat" the ss george bovell as an auburn fan and t&t resident, I'm really hoping that reference lands.

Moar,

Many years ago I joined a new gym here and I see this tall lanky guy with an Auburn shirt on. So I just said War Eagle and he smiled, said War Eagle and pointed at his shirt and said, "you know where this is". I said I went there and asked him if he was George Bovell. He said he was and I asked him how he ended up at Auburn.

He said my dad and mom both athletes, said if I wanted to be the best I should practice with the best. He said I could come in second in practice and still have a time good enough for a silver in the Olympics.

Bout a week later Im at the grocery store see a woman with an Auburn shirt. Same thing, it was George's mom. She just raved about Auburn and how much she loved the people. She closed by saying, Ive got a younger son and if momma has her way Auburn will get another one....so said so done.

To make sure I understand, are you saying because of this the cartels have essentially stopped the speed boat transports out of VE, and it's moved or at least continuing in the Pacific out of CO? We haven't seen as many of these tweets lately, so not sure if not posted or just none, or very few now, to post.

That's great to hear. Is there a better feel of safety on T&T for doing this? I can only assume with at area of VE being so close it overflowed there, so wondering if that's noticeably changed. Any other day to day changes you've noticed that has and will improve T&T into thr future?

At the end of the day we all expect leaders of places we partner up with to benefit the most/solely, so wondering if y'all's leaders are like that are truly looking to take advantage of this partnership to improve the nation long term.

I figured it was a small enough world for that reference to land. I first met him when he moved here to the states, for high school. One of our club teammates also competed for auburn during the same stretch, may have been 1 year ahead of George. Since dude is a 3rd, we always joked the boat would have a dale earnhardt #3 at the end of the name

It does. George started as a great IMer and migrated to sprint freestyle and had a long and successful career.
