Oil prices Monday?

Kickoff in the ME used to mean giant spikes pre-shale. I predict a big rise but something more like 10-15% vs the 30-40% I’d have expected had this happened in 2010.
I don’t think Iran’s navy is capable of maintaining any meaningful closure of the Strait of Hormuz with the US fleet chilling nearby.

Strikes last time I thought increased prices by about 7-10%. Iran exclusively was shipping their oil to China for a discount due to sanctions

Hopefully Iran takes back it's own country and we can step back. No need for O&G super increasement. Stay around $70 per bbl and we're good.

Looks like we are up about 8%

The market did fine when oil was 100+. 70-75 should still be irrelevant.

Venture Global is up 8% pre market as well to $10.50

Probably true enough though small fast boats can damage big slow tankers.
Last I read at least 150 tankers have dropped anchor in open water waiting to enter the Gulf of Aden and perhaps a few dozen loaded ones are waiting in the Gulf until it is safe to sail.
I think land-based missiles are the real threat to tanker traffic.

Plus mines. They've done that before.
