1) US asks to use British bases, we say no.
2) Tell everyone we weren't involved and hope they leave us alone.
3) oh dear, they didn't leave us alone. They're shooting missiles at us.
4) claim that the only way to stop this and protect British citizens is to destroy the missiles at source.
5) allow the Americans to use our bases to destroy the missiles at source.
6) refuse to help destroy the missiles at source, even though we just said destroying them at source is the only way to end the threat to British citizens.
7) tell everyone we're not involved and hope they'll leave us alone.

Apparently this is coming after Keir gave the go ahead finally for the US to use certain UK airbases for defensive actions, as well as British Typhoon jets shooting a drone out of the sky meant to target Dubai.
It’s absolutely shameful the UK denied use of their airbases for our staging for this. So much for our “greatest ally.”

Starmer is a rat hiding behind “international law” which is a total fiction and something that doesn’t exist.
International law is a post war consensus fantasy that is just a euphemism for “law” that America is willing to take police action to enforce. For a a man so obsessed with the concept to be a total coward and not stand with us is bizarre but unsurprising

Exactly. Starmer said the UK is going to allow US forces to use its bases for defense purposes. Iran, in their death blossom, decided to attack the UK for this even though the UK said it would not launch offensive attacks against Iran. Iran's command structure has collapsed and their people firing missiles are doing so blindly and on standing orders given to them before the attacks began.
Iran is engaging in a death blossom. They appear to be trying to do whatever it takes to escalate this into a broader war. It is retarded. But this is the real life example of "a tyrant will burn his own country to the ground if only to rule over its ashes." That is happening in real time.
