Well, partially because they have to go off the record. Like in the Hilary deposition Boebert was asking her questions about the Weiner laptop. And while I was hoping like hell they would make her answer, I also knew they wouldn't because it wasn't under the scope of the investigation. So they went off the record. Recording it and allowing them to release it later allows them to black out the portions that aren't Germaine to their investigation.
Any deposition would be done this way.

Ah. I figured you were aware of it since it was a big question when Hilary was called in to be deposed. She tried demanding they do it publicly, but they had to inform her several times that these depositions are all being done behind closed doors, but are being taped and that video and audio transcriptions will be made public.
We will see the video a couple days after Lutnik is deposed. And I'm glad they're hauling this dude in. I think he's as dirty as they come, personally.
