Grass Questions

I've got two questions for the board.
1. How long does it take for weed n feed to take effect?
2. I spread weed n feed on areas of grass that were already established (St.Aug). I also had some barren spots where I spread bermuda seed next. Is the weed n feed going to prohibit the success of the bermuda seedlings?

1. What is the active ingredient herbicide in the W&F? Many use atrazine, but not all. If atrazine, 2 to 3 weeks after it is watered in. Have you watered in the product?
2. If atrazine is the herbicide in the W & F product, then yes it will kill the Bermudagrass seedlings - actively growing Bermudagrass is not tolerant of atrazine.
In general it is best to avoid W&F products, and treat lawn fertilization & lawn weed control as 2 separate activities.

When its time to weed, its not time to feed.

You better hope that the Weed&Feed prohibits germination of the bermuda seed. What's the Active ingredient of the Weed and Feed?
