You never know what rabbit hole you will stick your nose in, until it starts stinking.

To quote the bard, "this is much ado about nothing".

Burpee seeds on their packet gives their address as 300 park avenue Warminster, Pennsylvania.

I wanted to make a comment about the mg content of their seed packet. Just a comment, just an insight where they could improve. Burpee, com

That web site is like trying to access a super secret weapon. I'm talking about tomato seeds.

So I looked it up thinking this was some Pennsylvania company that had been in business for generations.

Nah. Chinese.

Origin Agritech Limited, founded in 1997 and headquartered in Origin R&D Center, Songzhuang, Tongzhou in Beijing, is a leading Chinese agricultural technology company. In crop seed biotechnologies,

It's a dollar a share.

Is this the website you are talking about? I’m not quite sure what you are referring to here. Seems like a legit Pennsylvania company.

Yes,

Burpee Seeds (W. Atlee Burpee & Co.) is an American company. Founded by Washington Atlee Burpee in Philadelphia in 1876, it is considered America's oldest and most trusted supplier of flower and vegetable seeds for home gardeners.

Key details about the company include:

Headquarters: The company is based in Warminster, Pennsylvania.

Ownership: While it has a long history, the company was purchased in 1991 by George Ball, and it remains a premier American seed company.

Are you sure it is a Chinese company?

My bad and apologies to Burpee.

First link through Google was the Chinese company.

Deeper digging ..Burpee Seed Company is owned by George Ball, who acquired it in 1991 through his family business, George J. Ball, Inc. Under his leadership, the company has diversified its offerings and expanded its market presence.
