Why I am stoked about the The General returning

A few years ago work brought me to Baton Rouge. I called my godson, a freshman at the time, wanted to know if he wanted dinner on my dime.
He and his crew had been camping out at PMAC for the KY game. Wade ordered them pizza.
Simple act and cheap money bought the student loyalty and we never saw such out of MM or BK for that matter.

Wade knows exactly what buttons to push to build loyal and rabid fans. It’s why we saw 90% of LSU fans go to bat for him when the wiretap stuff happened. Hell it’s one of the reasons why many LSU fans have never stopped liking him, and have always wanted a return.
Wade is a genius when it comes to creating buzz and excitement.

I just want more of Wade's promos with him wearing the General outfit telling fans to hang from the rafters.

he put a lot of work in at the beginning to get students there and to win over the fan base. i remember videos of him driving a golf cart around the first week of school and giving students rides to class and getting to know them and inviting them to come to the basketball games.
