Spinoff on "Random Instagram Locations" ...Google Earth Location : Straight of Hormuz

I thought I'd explore the Straight of Hormuz on Google Earth... give myself a better understanding of the place other than the "Ships - Oil - It's blocked" narrative. I wasn't exactly sure what I'd find... but what I did... I wasn't expecting. I'll let y'all judge for yourselves.

Imagine if everything that's happened in Iran since the 70s didn't happen. Place would be an awesome vacation spot

The Strait of Hormuz has long been known as what is colloquially called the "Iranian Tourist Trap."
They lure unsuspecting travelers in with images like this:
