How is this any different than the White House saying Iran's nuclear capabilities have been "obliterated" and "set back many years" then all of a sudden all the MAGA bros are chanting "Iran cannot be allowed to have a nuke?"

It isn't. Every piece of news at this point feels like propaganda. All of it from every side.

I think this latest military action was more about Israel launching attacks with or without us. If we're not involved Israel would not have any restraints, with the US involved we can influence Israels actions.
For Israel, Iran is an existential threat and they would have zero mercy or restraint which would lead to bigger geopolitical problems.

We went from we obliterated Iran's nuclear capability to "Iran is two weeks away from a nuclear weapon" in not even 7 months
You can find articles as far back as 2005 saying Iran is "two weeks away" from a nuclear weapon
