A society that is homogenous and has people operating from common language and moral code will be high trust. It's people will self-regulate and need less government.
Diversity brings low trust and the corresponding call for a strong man to keep those not trusted in line.

If I was teaching that class I would have to have a disclaimer that what I'm about to tell to them is the officially government sanctioned version which by law I have to adhere to and do not reflect my personal views. :lol:
