If so, where did you stay and did you have a beach view?

Yes, we stayed at Surfsand. Direct access to the beach and steps away from Haystack Rock. Didn't have a beach view, which wasn't a big deal since we were were out-and-about most of the time, anyway.

We stayed in Astoria which is an easy drive to Canon Beach. Astoria is a cool, funky little town.

Tolovana Inn. Pretty nice. About a 30 beach walk from Haystack.
If you play golf, be sure to tee it up at Gearhart Golf Links.
And Seaside is a funky little tourist town that has old fashioned bumper cars. Used to have one of the last sit down A&W restaurants, but it’s gone now.

Went last summer, stayed about 20 minutes south in an awesome little town called Manzanita. Quieter, but gorgeous. Whole coast is great. There are a lot of little towns, all seem to be 20 minutes or so apart, separated by state parks, and we would just day trip up and down the coast. Highly recommend it
ETA we got an airbnb right across from the beach. Amazing view and the beach was very secluded

All good recommendations.
I lived in Beaverton for 7 years and only stayed overnight in Cannon Beach once. We stayed in an Air BnB across the street from the beach, near Haystack Rock. I can't remember the name, but i remember it was near the "Screw and Brew", which is a combination hardware store and tap room. It is very close to the Pelican Brewing facility in Cannon Beach.
Pelican Brewing in Cannon Beach is an excellent place for a meal, although it is a little south of the "downtown" area. I would recommend the Pelican Brewing in Pacific City, which 1/2 hour south of Tillamook. The views alone are worth stopping there, but the food is also very good. If you go through Tillamook, stop at the Tillamook Cheese Factory and take the tour. The fresh ice cream there is outstanding, and you get to see how cheese is made - with free samples. It's first class.
