Better than the orginal but no where near as good as GTA IV

Depends.. GTA 4 I never finished but Saint's row 2 was fun as hell.. I think GTA 4 is better story wise maybe but I had more fun in Saint's Row 2.
I mean a game that rewards you for getting in a sewage truck and spraying people with the inside of it? :)

GTA IV is very story driven. Saints Row 2 lends itself more to aimlessly fricking around the city.
GTA IV tends to take itself too seriously, while Saints Row 2 tends to be much more open-ended.
They both have their pros and cons. I prefer GTA, but Saints Row definitely has its merits.
