So after many years (dating and married) I finaly got my wife liking sushi. I loved it for years, but rarely got to eat it, b/c she would never even consider it.
Problem is I haven't had a chance to try many places. We done Ichiban, Hello Sushi, and a few more twords Metarie and N.O.
I'm sure Ichiban would be a top choice for a lot of people, but what do yall consider your favorite sushit place in Baton Rouge?

Ichiban is always money.
Just stay away from Tokyo Cafe and Sake Cafe, they both blow.

I disagree with you on sake cafe. I have been a few times and haven't been dissapointed.
My favorite is waka house on sherwood. Best spicy tuna roll I have ever had.

then you kind of like flavorless, full of rice and no filling sushi.
I will say Sushi Yama (right around the corner from Ichi) hands down, but if that guy doesn't stop jacking up prices because of his popularity I'm going to cry.

Yeah I would say Sushi Yama,,, but I too long for the prices to go back to what they were.....
P.S. try the Tom's Roll you can thank me later

Now I wasn't saying sake cafe was the best. I just don't think it's horrible. And their sushi happy hour is pretty good. I was very unimpressed with sushi yama. And it left a pretty big dent in my wallet!
My two places are waka house and ichiban

wahada is my favorite and very reasonably priced.

I have heard great things about Sushi Yama, but I've never been. I also enjoy Waka House on Sherwood, and I've liked Tsunami the past few times I've gone (Green Monster Roll and Seabass Roll are both excellent).

I had a really good Baton Rouge roll from Tokyo two weeks ago...it was awesome. The rest was kind of meh, but I'd really like to go back for some hibachi.
I guess sushi flavors are an "to each his own" preference because some of the places listed are some I wouldn't go to on purpose more than once.

I love everything I've had at Ichiban. The Pink Lady Roll, the Rock-n-Roll and the Rainbow Roll are my faves. I've pretty much been disappointed with every other sushi place I've been to, except for Tsunami, but they are overpriced.

I have a hard time finding consistency in all sushi places in BR.
My overall top vote has to be Koto. Passionate owner.
