Duang Tawan's Panang Curry is delish.
I went there last Friday night. I have to say the French Onion Bisque was delicious! I was, however, slightly surprised at the prices on the appetizers though. Mostly, they were priced over $10, but they do look tasty.

The Cajun Cowboy Specialty Pizza was very good as well.

My boyfriend tried the stuffed mushrooms, and we both agreed those were not worth $13 either, but everything else was enjoyable.

Well this is pretty simple, but it might help. I just made it for lunch and thought it was pretty tasty. Make a fruit salad. Slice a plum, nectarine and kiwi. Sprinkle in some almonds soaked in water, which makes them sweeter, and drizzle on some honey.

I laughed throughout the whole movie. Not as funny as The Hangover, but it's still hysterical

I watched this last night. It's okay. I was expecting it to be funnier, but I didn't feel like I wasted two hours of my life either.

Galatoire's makes this dish and I loved it.
When I go to Lake Charles I either want to eat at Steamboat Bills or get a Darrells Special. Those are the two best choices in town.
I was there in April and loved the Crab Pot. There's also a great Thai Food place downtown, but you'll have to look the name up. I can't seem to remember it. Best Thai food I've ever had.
I love it how people make so many general assumptions about a group of employees. Of course, all fast food employees anywhere must be unintelligent - only courteous. That's not an unitelligent generalization at all.

Firstly I will say that I worked at Sonic in High School and later I worked at Chick-Fil-A. At that time, I was a hard-working individual who was in National Honor's Society. Imagine that. A smart fast food worker. What a concept?

Never once in my experience, at either of these establishments, was I asked to participate in any prayer, nor was I asked to divulge my religious status. Again, imagine that.

Sometimes people should admire others' work ethics rather than just assume they are dumb.

I would get a 20 gallon pot for that kind of crowd. My recommendation for cast iron cookware is cajuncastiron.com. They are inexpensive and if you are in the area of the owner he will work out a delivery, so you save money on shipping and on the product itself.

I really liked this movie - especially the awkwardness, which is what makes it so funny.

This was such a great book. I can't wait to see the movie!
I ordered mine from cajuncastiron.com and I love them.
I am hooked on No Reservations! Anthony Bourdain has my dream job.

I went this past April, making reservations right at sunset.

Even though it was a bit expensive, I thought the food was good and it was well worth the view and the money.

Oh you're right. Scratch that. Then I recommend Darrells. I was just thinking of the places I like to go when I drive to Lake Charles.

Steamboat Bills, Darrells or Tonys Pizza.

I always order the Rama Spicy. The Pad Thai, Panang Curry and Green Curry are all also very good, but I would stay away from the Red Curry. I didn't think it was anything special.

The Darrells Special is the best sandwich ever - hands down. I stopped by there this past weekend, and I ran into many people who were also visiting for the Easter weekend. It was packed. I did ask about the Surf n Turf, because someone on this board said it was even more delicious, but the waiter told me it was a roast beef poboy with shrimp, so I decided to stick with the special with the jalapeno mayonaise and it was as tasty as ever.

They have great appetizers, but many of their meals are typical. Don't get me wrong. I love the atmosphere of the location by LSU and I never have been disappointed with their Red Beans and Rice and their blackened gator. It's more nostalgic I would say.
I go to the downtown location for lunch sometimes and I do love the bread and the seafood cannelloni. While the wait staff is great and the atmosphere is nice, I feel like I'm yelling at people when it's crowded, so that they can hear me, or that I have to whisper to the people I'm with, right before the rush comes in, because everyone can hear what you are saying. That's the only downfall, but it doesn't stop me from going in there. Is the location on Airline set up differently?
I conducted a food review there for work and the manager told me they were experimenting with different food items before locking down a set menu. They want to see what people take to here.

Their grilled cheese and tomato soup is what I always order when I eat there.
Thank you. I really appreciate the support! I am obviously biased, but I think it's going to be great as it's going to fill a more lifestyle and fashion oriented niche that Baton Rouge is lacking. I hope that we become well established here and meet everyone's expectations. Thanks again!
It's going to be printed monthly and there will be food reviews included in the Town section of the magazine.
No I just like their crawfish. I've heard Tony's also had good crawfish, but I've never tried it. I just had a bad experience at Walk-Ons with their crawfish because they brought it to me cold and I didn't think Sammys was seasoned enough. I've never been disappointed with Heads & Tails though, but no, I have no affiliation with them. Just passing along where there's well seasoned crawfish. If out of towners don't like a lot of spice though, maybe some other place would be better.

I love everything I've had at Ichiban. The Pink Lady Roll, the Rock-n-Roll and the Rainbow Roll are my faves. I've pretty much been disappointed with every other sushi place I've been to, except for Tsunami, but they are overpriced.
