I figured I would wait for the board to cool a hair before I came back to take my lumps.

I never predicted a sweep on our behalf or even a series win, but I taunted you guys pretty heavily Friday night.

Hopefully our fundamentals will be enough to override our lack of star power from here on out and we can finish strong. I would like to have a decent showing in the SEC tourny, host a regional, and best case scenario, slip into a Super.

Anyway, nice wins. Hope all who came to Fayetteville enjoyed it.

Pile on me if you wish!

If we let Casey Dick pinch hit in the bottom of the 9th it would have turned out different Sunday.

(By the way, Dick signed a free agent deal with the Jets and coaches claim he has shown what it takes to earn a spot on a practice squad. Who saw that coming?)

Maybe he'll play against Chad Jones again one day...wait...sorry, Chad will be on an everyday roster, so it won't happen.

I love when, after losing, guys try to take the high road when they were an antagonistic douche leading up to the series.

The reality is that ou took offense when many of the posters simply said that you guys would come back to earth when playing the meat of the SEC. That's exactly what happened.

I think Arkansas has lost 9 of its last 15 SEC games. BA is around .275 with no real star starting pitchers. Arkansas was playing over its head for a while. The program itself is kind of middle of the pack to be honest.

There is a better chance of you guys finishing 4th in the West than winning it IMO. Having played Ole Miss and Alabama already, I think you guys are going to have problems with them as well. Both of those teams are more talented than Arkansas.

I tell you what that Wilkins kid can hit a ton. Those two balls he hit deep against Ross (one foul and one not) were great pitches. After he hit the first one so long foul I told my SO he will never hit that pitch that hard again. Next AB same pitch over the fence I was pretty shocked. Both of those pitches were good pitches probably off the plate a little.

Ironically, lack of fundementals may have cost you yesterday. That overthrow of the cutoff man was BRUTAL.

Love when, after winning a series 2-1 in a tight one run game, guys try to convince themselves they are vastly superior to you by putting you down, hoping to convince themselves they actually won by a greater margin.

Congrats on the series win and

Just curious, when is the last time Ark took a series from LSU?

LSU being vastly superior to Arkansas has very little to do with this weekend. Arkansas has beaten LSU before and I'm sure they will again, but as a program you guys are way behind.

And, your team this year overacheived in the first half. The fall has already started and you guys will end up having a very typical year for Arkansas when it is all said and done, IMO. In short, Arkansas really hasn't taken a step forward as a program. More accurately, your team is scraping and clawing out what wins you do get against more talented opponents the majority of the time. While admirable, it's not an indication of a program that can really go places.

But you go ahead and hang on to the fact that it was a close series.

I was wrong. It was 2004 when they swept us at home. I went to all three of those too. Ugh. I think it was Easter weekend.

Anyway, I thought they did last year, but I just remember that Saturday game where we blew a 7 run lead.

Thanks, I knew it had been a while. Pretty impressive streak against a team that is usually solid.
