any chance united can appeal that bullshite sending off?

not going to comment on that
luckily, we have someone to replace fletcher, it is a loss, fletch is underrated imo, but we have depth
so: rooney, ronaldo, park, carrick, scholes, giggs, rio, vidic, evra, o'shea, van der sar
though berba instead of...scholes maybe an option and drop park to wing, save scholes for sub, could happen with giggsy too, also there is anderson

Also from ESPN gametracker
So Barca is through or Chelski?

Congratulations to Barcelona. They didn't play well on the night but they kept going and ultimately got their reward, with their first shot on target in the match in the 92nd minute. Chelsea will point to two decent penalty shouts, but they had enough chances to win it during the game. So, its a repeat of last year's final, for the first time in Champions League history.

barca...that's just espn for you

Milan made it two years in a row (I think), but played L'pool one year and Arsenal the other,

I can't wait to get home to watch this and see the melt down at the end

i'd go with scholes in fletcher's place

I think it'll be on sportcenter tonight
they never pass up any meltdown in sports no matter how much they dislike the sport
and yes, I believe espn does not like soccer
reasons:
1. putting dave o'brien as WC '06 as commentator
2. no HD
3. lack of knowledge by anchors
4. use of alexi lalas
5. sometimes conspiracies are fun
6. jim rome (bitch)
7. jim rome (bitch) is still on the air
8. I just wanted one more reason

Abidal being sent off was bullshite too.

Barca wins 1-0 and I hope Puyol breaks Ronaldo's leg

First off,the red card of Fletcher was legit. Dangerous play, last defender tackling his man on basically a break-away. That is the entire spirit of the rule.
Abidal got effed. He didn't even touch the player and got sent off. Fletcher's cleats were near the player's face. I really hope that the UEFA heads realize the travesty of the Red on Abidal and rescind it.

I think we can supplement the loss of on of the backs with sylvinho who has proven to be very reliable in his time at Barcelona. We're probably going to have to play Caceres on defense but idk where. Good thing is that we have Puyol back.

He touched ball first, the red card was not deserved. Even Wenger agreed.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger also admitted the red card was "very harsh" after television pictures clearly showed Scottish international Fletcher - a non-playing substitute at last year's final - played the ball.
