I think he could fit the bill. Supposedly 6'5" too.
Ritchson would be good and to be honest, if they are within 15 years, they can make the actors look late 20s, based on how many 25+ yo they cast as highschool kids
I just don't want someone like Glen Powell (don't dislike him, just don't like him for Carl) or even Seth McFarland trying to take it himself. He'd be a good Mordecai if Danny Devito refused

Who would y'all cast as Carl?
The audiobook Carl sounds like Patrick Warburton and his son sounds just like him and is not too far past 30
Seth McFarland does well with the nerdy stuff, so hoping he won't try to force a big name that doesn't really fit
Finished #3. Kept my word and switched back to Reacher, but #4 is on the shelf and next in line
On track to be caught up just as #8 comes out

2 chapters and the epilogue to go on book 3
I get the physical copy so I have the "backstage at the pineapple cabaret"
I also decided to try out the audiobooks since I have some long drives ahead
Usually have trouble paying attention, but it is great voice acting
Right now I'm switching between DCC and Reacher
Getting my page count up quick this year I guess

Just quoting so people see the reason I'd personally not want him. It's also one of several hundred reasons why I don't get paid millions to coach LSU, but as a fan, I don't like the real kermit in KC and it's just weird the things he does to copy him. If he's not done copying Mahomes, I'm sure he'll have a super annoying girlfriend and little brother soon
Sad baseball didn't work out for him

I'm really early in book 3.
I'm going to accept the author's note at the beginning of my copy that says
And there is a map at the end, but I haven't looked at it yet.
I will try to take his advice and just ignore the stations

I bought the first book last year because of this thread. But I held on to it until the end of the year when I finally decided to give it a try
And thanks, now, I have to buy all of them
Finished 2025 with Doomsday Scenario and Anarchist Cookbook is arriving tomorrow and will start it after I finish my current read
At this pace, I'll probably finish #7 right before #8 comes out

The older I get the more I realize the "forced to read in high school" books are usually gems and looking back I wish I appreciated them more at the time
I was one of those stupid, or it feels stupid now, but if I was told to read it, it would be a struggle or I wouldn't.
It'll be between Hemingway, Remarque, or maybe Treasure Island
30 in 2025
18 is the goal in 2026
Just want to start out a little lower and hopefully don't get stuck on a slow read
Planning a couple of Re-reads with The Hobbit and A Walk in the Woods
Other than that, starting with Jack Reacher #4 Running Blind. Many list have this rated as a middle of the pack in the Reacher series, but I'm 300 pages in on day 2, which is big for me. Will likely read a few this year
I also need to pick out my "classic forced to read in high school" book for the year. Last year was The Great Gatsby. Maybe Hemingway this year
Completely forgot the add that I read the first two Dungeon Crawler Carl's last year because of this board and I'm hooked. 2026 may be the year of alternating between Reacher and Carl
1. Running Blind - Lee Child

I'm not joking
Ben Hogan's "Five Lessons: The Modern Fundamentals of Golf"
Not a swing stick or any other thing like that, but I went from the the nastiest slice you'll see, like boomerang bad two fairways over (was it caddyshack 2?), to playable

re: Murphy,Sam and Jodi radio morning show

Murphy and Jodi are married.
Jodi does most of the talking
They've been on for a long time
Just easy morning listening if you don't want sports radio and avoid politics
Way better than the over the top ktdy in Lafayette which you don't get anyway.

Kiffin is the only coach officially on staff for 2026. Is your contention that LSU will have no signees today?
Didn’t think so.
ETA: We have a WR and OL officially in before 8:00 am with no announcement on OL coach or WR coach. How is this possible?
Because the Edna Karr kid said as much, that he wants to take the time to see how it all shakes out? What kind of "gotcha" did you think you had?
My point remains and that was the twitter story about frank that idiots are now bringing to tRant is false, but idiots will keep making new threads
And some kids are taking a month to see how things play out
re: If a coach at lsu is thinking he will hold lsu hostage then so be it. Kick rocks.

Rumors of Frank Wilson doing some shady things to keep his job. Please take these words with a grain of salt as it could be total crap but this is floating on the message boards.
It is completely made up bullshite on twitter by someone looking for engagement. Stop giving it to them and stop moving the story further
Frank has not and will not hold recruits hostage
Kids are simply waiting an extra month until their own position coaches are known

Landry is doing a damn good job when compared to shutdown Edwards.
Ended coastline projects because they were "too expensive" even though it was federal and oil spill funded. It was a backroom deal with nungesser so he wouldn't run for gov
Butts in talking about state spending constantly on stuff that isn't even state money (LSU athletics and above)
Regularly filed lawsuits as AG against the state and losing wasting more time and money
More worried about GOP higher-ups noticing him over doing right by LA

Oh I gotcha. Maybe the show adapted his ending and now he doesn’t have a Plan B.
Don't forget how far the show diverted from the books all the way back to the Red Wedding episode
Immediately Bran is not the rightful king because Rob's unborn is still alive in the books and whatshername is still alive held by the ugly midland people.
Forgive me, it's been a while since I finished the books and I forgot some names

Yes and I’m a R, but this is BS. Using LSU as a political tool is wrong. He’s gonna scare off potential candidates and this will hurt him politically as it should. We are going back to go old ole boy Louisiana crap.
It is the playbook of modern politicians, anything and everything is a political tool to get what your party wants and grab the most power
My platform is and will be for a long time that parties and cultish adherence to party lines, is the downfall of our country
I swear Landry better be out next election and not by someone who wish to bring back woke/cancel and not another full maga mode
Still wish Graves would've ran
The massive donor that is funding the buyout needs to call Landry and tell him to stfu

Seeing as I'll be burned and scattered somewhere in the depths of my property...NTA
Land is for the living
Only pull over for first responder processions
Only immediate family should be in it
If they are behind me, I'm not pulling over as they shouldn't be going faster than the speed limit. Honestly, not pulling over at all (other than first responder), only just making sure I don't split the group
