Question for serious tailgaters

A question for devoted tailgaiters: If your girlfriend told you that she wanted you to stop going to every game and tailgaiting so much, would you do it? Would you "grow up" like she asked and do other things with her on Saturday before the game, or maybe not even go to the game at all? Or would you realize that she is just not the woman for you?

What else is there on a Saturday during football season?

That wouldn't be the girl for me. Not to sound like some psycho stuck up football guy, but I'm going to be tailgating and watching LSU no matter who I'm with. If a girl can't deal with that, we'd never get along.

That's an unreasonable request. I'd punch her in the stomach then Tiger Bait her

needless to say, it ended. On this exact topic. Does that make you childish or just realistic?

Dump that chump. Then :PIIHB:

Realistic. If you told her she couldn't shop, tan, etc... she'd probably break up with you.

At one point she wanted to compromise by saying not to go out there so early. Like 2 instead of 7. The answer was no.

Hell, I'd break up with her too and I'm a GA fan! You cajun boys know how to tailgate! Damn good times!

You are realistic, there is no way that girl was for you and thats a fact.

This happens to me every weekend. Somehow between when we were dating and now (married with a kid) she has lost interest in tailgating and going to away games. I still go and we still argue. Not sure how far this will go and how long it will last, but I am not the type to sit at home and watch on CBS. ..... not as long as I have the means to be at the games.

I'd miss her for a while

What if you married the girl you tailgated with all the time and when she became a "wife" and "mom" she lost interest?
Can this be corrected?

I just divorced from a woman who gave me hell everytime football season came around. 7 years of marriage and I couldn't get her to come to one tailgate/game, but when I'd take one of my buddies, she'd get pissed and accuse me of wanting to live the single life.
I have a new GF now and she is as anxious to go tailgating and to the games as I am. I took her to her first LSU baseball game this season and she was up cheering, participating in the Geaux Tigers chant, stomping her feet on the bleachers, ect. She's definitely a keeper!

if you were tailgating before you met her, that is not fair for her to try to change you to meet her expectations.
tell her that she can come too.
