Did you hear we are still in consideration?

Run doesn’t count either. Imagine betting on that game and it doesn’t hit cause dudes leg snapped.
Just looked it up and it did count. Apparently if a runner is injured before reaching a dead ball awarded base, a pinch runner can complete it for him…

Boy that sucks big time.
re: McMahon is such a mild tender man that accidentally ended up as a college coach.

We need to hire someone that people hate. Someone that announcers are disgusted by and can’t hide it.
Having McMahon as the coach is the equivalent of a girl saying “aww” when a dude takes his pants down.

It was a bad performance. But that doesn’t excuse Drake Maye from air mailing wide open receivers no less than 8 times

Good. I heard LeBron was getting ready to retire and go back to college

These people are delusional and make shite up in their heads constantly. People making a choice to watch alternate show = people thinking gay dudes humping each other and American flag burning is going to happen.
Sorry but not true. It was a crap choice of halftime performer made on geographic demographic reasons (mostly) and I would have been fine with that if it wasn’t for Bad Bunny’s outward hate.
But you keep propping yourself up with lies.

Ultimately pretty forgettable. Nothing bad but nothing great. I feel like most recent Super Bowl halftime shows are all basically the same thing. But I’m not the target audience for the halftime show.
Yea I think they are all about fireworks, stunts, and dancing these days. The musical aspect is pretty much out the window now.

Didn’t watch it for political reasons that existed before the show itself. I honestly expected him to put on a standard halftime performance with no political stunts.
I don’t think anybody was worried about what he was going to do in the halftime show. Folks just didn’t like how he outwardly hated half the country and took an outward divisive unpopular political stance.

I’d have watched it if he wasn’t dead set on outwardly hating half the country. I’m sure it was well-produced and visually entertaining. What halftime show isnt?
re: We will find out soon if basketball is important to the LSU admin
Posted by jacquespene8 on 2/8/26 at 11:55 am to LSUfan2008
I’m 41 and I’ve seen maybe 2 or 3 seasons of really good LSU basketball. For all other seasons LSU has had mediocrity as its ceiling, give or take a win or two. Even through the Shaq years. All that to say, LSU basketball has never been important.

re: McMahon owed 80% of remaining contract when fired. Who does Verge call to pay it?
Posted by jacquespene8 on 1/28/26 at 9:10 pm to The Hurricane
I’d love to see a fun men’s basketball team again. But I think it’s time we all accept that our admins don’t care about men’s basketball as much as we think they do. McMahon will probably get another year or two, regardless of outcomes. They just aren’t gonna put money towards this right now
re: Verge said no mid-season firing...

I don’t think they practice any more. They just eat king cakes and play fort nite

We might actually have a loss AND a moral loss tonight. The dreaded double whammy

Buddy the program was already at the bottom of the canyon. Mchmahon just couldn’t figure out how to lead his team out of it. I think we had zero scholarship players and a bad reputation, plus NCAA crosshairs when he was hired. Dennis Gates has turned around Mizzou twice during McMahon's tenure, including after a zero conference win season. Mcmahon is terrible and if you feel for him you're stupid. Every season gets derailed because of injury, then figure out you need a backup plan ya dumbfrick.
Re-reading my post and I don’t see where I said McMahon doesn’t suck and that I feel bad for him…
My point was that he didn’t inherit a happy thriving program.

I’m fine with it. Take the NIL money and give it to Kiffin and the real LSU men.

re: Could 2019 LSU beat Indiana?
Posted by jacquespene8 on 1/10/26 at 2:56 pm to LSUPHILLY72
If I recall, no team against LSU ever had a chance in the waning minutes of games. Like with a chance to win on a last possession. Didn’t Indiana need a couple butt clenching wins to get where they are?
