Who would you rather play.....

in the finals of the CWS?
First of all let me say that all three of the teams are really great and it's going to be tough to beat any of them. Texas strikes the least fear in me though. I don't want to play Arizona St. I would live revenge on UNC but I think that they could possibly be the best of the 3, although it will be hard for them to win the next three games.

Who provides us with the best match up against their pitching? In other words, I'm asking who has the best lefties out of the three?

I'm sick of the Auggie suckfest but I'd take Texas, no way we fall apart up 6 runs and they barely eeked it out v USM. Nothing against USM... With all that, I think UNC makes it out of the losers bracket to face us.

Texas, even though they're playing well today. We're clicking on all cylinders and have a good shot against any of them.

Texas, all these close games have to be taking a toll on their pitching.

Right now, the only one I wouldn't want to out of those is UNC. They've at least been consistent.
Don't care what's going on today, Texas still hasn't impressed it. It's glaring to me that ASU is choking this away more than anything by the pitching and fielding.
ASU, the worry was always the pitching. Well, first guy they started is a puss when anything is hit near him and it looks to get to him. Leake got rattled very easy today. The bullpen has made stupid pitch after stupid pitch. Not afraid of them at all.

Sorry coach, I'll go out and catch a few pop flies and then run a few laps to stay focused for Friday's game

I like our chances of making it. Nothing wrong with us thinking ahead as fans right now.

you pitching friday for LSU?

Best scenario would be Texas losing to ASU or NC on Friday. This would force them to play Saturday and burn their ace.
Also assuming that we take care of business on Friday and don't have to face a similar situation.

Texas and it ain't even close. ASU or UNC could put up some decent pitchers against us, Texas wouldn't stand a chance.

My only reason for Texas is it would be nice to tie em up in championships against them directly.
Although I really dislike getting teams who I think aren't the best and I think UNC is the best of the three.
I'd rather UNC because I want to beat the best at their best.
Then you can say you are truly the champs.

I expect Texas to get beaten on Friday by whoever they get out of ASU or UNC, thus using up another pitcher. I like our chances best against them.

Texas. College baseball royalty going at it.

My perfect scenario:
Beat Texas in the CWS championship series, have a huge victory party at Barret's afterwards. Then at the end of the night, go up to Augie Garrido and say, "hey coach, we're drunk - how bout a lift home?"

I don't care who we play. We can beat every single team. The only team I don't want to play is UNC. Not for all these other reasons people have but rather because they really haven't won shite in college baseball. Beating them would be like beating Texas A&M in baseball. Regardless, ASU looked the toughest before today and Texas just seems like they are catching people make mistakes. I know personally that those arrogant Texas fans in Omaha think it is their program making these teams crumble. If I had to choose I would say Texas so I could taunt and laugh at those damn Texas assholes. 6 out of 33 < 6 out of 15. Never lost a championship game.
