Your not quite all-time team for your favorite MLB team

The team can only consist of players you have seen play in your lifetime.
You can base it off of stats, your favorite players, or pick players who just played the game the right way, whatever you want.
New York Yankees

1B Tino Martinez
2B Alfonso Soriano
3B Scott Brosius
SS Derek Jeter
LF Chad Curtis
CF Bernie Williams
RF Paul O'Neill
SP Andy Pettitte
SP David Cone
SP David Wells
SP Mike Mussina
SP Orlando Hernandez
CP Mariano Rivera

I thought about throwing Betemit at 3rd. You need a section for relievers so I can throw in Corey Lidle.

I wanted to put him as my catcher, but because of his recent dealings I just couldn't do it.

Same. And him playing for San Diego that one year was kinda lame.
Posted on 8/2/09 at 12:35 am to BayouBengals03
Don't remind me about Leyritz. The Braves fricking choked that series away.

Moreland over Andre Dawson?

Win the first 2 in New York, and we blow it. I still have nightmares about that. It could have been a Braves dynasty, and instead it sprung the Yankees.

This is a completely true statement. I've always wondered how it would have been had Atlanta won in '96 and gone back-to-back.
I can remember watching Game 5 in Atlanta on TV and my dad screaming at the TV when Andy Pettitte went out to hit in the top of the 9th.

yea, that was a brain fart on my part
As for Wood and Prior, I know they were hurt more than anyone, but they were the biggest part of the Cubs getting as close to the World Series as they've been in my lifetime, so they're in my all-lifetime rotation.
