I see that we offered him a scholarship, but does anybody know if we are seriously recruiting this kid?

His recruitment is really interesting. For such an average prospect he has big offers.

it's a last name recruitment only, severely overrated... if it weren't for his brother, he would not even be under discussion for LSU

Average prospect with a big time last name. Its funny that when you think back to his brothers recruitment and everyone thought we would be Reggie Bush 2.0 but the kid cant stay away from injuries or hold on to the ball.

Because he is. He's nowhere enar his brother's level as a prospect. Not even 1 recruiting site thinks that highly of him. Isn't he a 3 on both scout and rivals?

he had 6ints as a Jr, like 3 as a Soph, and is a great returner and scores TD's on offense too.

Yet nobody is really pushing hard for him. His last name is getting him some offers.
He's a mid-major starter and BCS bench player IMO.

I sometimes question the legitimacy of the offer sheets on rivals.
If all of those offers ever existed, I doubt many are still on the table.

I saw him play as a sophomore I think (Joe's senior season) and Joe tore Mandeville up. Then all of the sudden a kid takes a punt back with some shifty moves and good speed. Come to find out it was Jonathan. Played pretty good at db as well. I was somewhat impressed but Joe was ridiculous that game. Would like to see Jonathan play this year at least once before I jump on the average bandwagon. Kid definitely has some skills and athleticism.

kid's not bad. saw him run some track too. pretty quick kid. good size for a db. don't think he's a must have, but certainly a kid who could help us out.
thought joe would actually project as a nice db....many more years and much more money in the NFL. oh well, FUSC.
