re: Stanfield should be your CF come SEC play

Yes and that is ok, I understand the scope of baseball that you consume is strictly confined to lsu baseball. You do not really know what a ++ CF actually looks like

No he’s not. He’s good, not great.

He was shallow, but not out of position. He turned and sprinted and lost the ball and didn’t have to. It
He misread how deep and how hard it was. He should have turn and ran and tracked it and he would have pretty easily ran under it for as long as it hung in the air

see how shallow he was? It’s wild he almost even made the play. Stanfield wouldn’t have caught that one
I don’t think Stanfield would have either.
Dylan crews would have tho

Curiel is a good CF but that ball was a test that great CF’s make. Tougher play for a LH but still.

Yeah, I think Jay is regretting not having the usual off days in between to coach what he needs to. No one should be tired but I’ve seen silly fans make that comment.

Didn’t say he didn’t help the team. You just can’t count on him to play a full season. Cam Jordan and Davis never ever miss games

I guess, for a guy that only played in 70% of the games

Cam’s 2025 stats are deceiving
I mean he played up to what he had been the years before. But he was a really good two way end that played like 60% of the snaps. Replacing him is what it is, but fans need to temper expectations. Those two guys carried the defense this past year.

How the frick do you know that? The Patriots went 4-13 with a promising rookie quarterback and made it to the Super Bowl in his year 2. Shough showed enough to think he might be the real deal.
If you lose Jordan and Davis the ceiling shrinks even more. The defense as it stands would be terrible without those two.

The corresponding move determines if this is a good thing or not. These guys saved the defense last year, single handily. There is a world this is a major setback for what is a terrible roster with no direct replacement.

You keep comparing to last years team. They aren’t as good last year but that doesn’t mean they don’t have dudes
He’s started 14 different players and the lineups have varied tremendously game to game, both batting order and defensively. Just hard to build a rhythm that way with a lot of new starters and transfers.
Continuity helps build confidence which in turn promotes winning.
