Ruffino's has been on my mind, YUMMY
If you feel like driving to new orleans, take her to impostatos, guaranteed to make the panties so wet they'll drop themselves.

I think Impastatos is a pretty good place, but if he is going to drive all the way to N.O, I would sure as hell hope it would be for something better than that.

There are unlimited awesome choices in NO, Many are more expensive and have advantages over impostatos, the ambiance and food are both unique there. If I had one meal to eat before I died, it would be there. You have to understand this is STRICTLY my opinion, so please dont take it as me trying to start a pissing match. I'd take a girl there any time, expecting for us both to leave happy.

Try Robertos in St. Gabriel. Not too far from LSU and the food is pretty good.

Probably too late to save the guy now, but we used to go over to Joe's about every 6 weeks or so. You'd see half of BR in there on any given weekend night.
Last time I went - and I do mean the last time - I got so sick from food poisoning I thought I was gonna die! I knew before the meal was over - it was that kind of wicked. There was a sauce on the fish, hollandaise as I recall, and I swear I had to leave the table for the bathroom and could barely make it home for throwing up. Sick all night. Just never could find the courage to go back, and that's a shame cause we had some good meals there.

if it was food poisoning it would not hit you that fast.

Thought you might say that...
There are several different types of food poisoning with onsets that range from within a few minutes of consumption to perhaps 36 hrs or so later.
That said, I will concede this point: while it might not have been "poisoning" per se, that hollandaise sauce had turned. There wasn't a bad taste but then again there doesn't have to be. Little buggers can be growing w/o anything obvious to tip you off. Hollandiase is very often the culprit when spoiled or tainted food makes you sick.
What I do know is that w/i a few minutes of consumption, and before the meal was over, I was violently ill. My guess is that whether the sauce started out tainted, their poor handling of the dish (i.e., I suspect it was held under a heat lamp) made me sick.
I now have such a strong psychological aversion to the place I can't go back, and that's too bad bkz as I said, we really liked Joe's and used to go often, take out of town folks there.

I can understand this entirely. One fall I kept a few pumpkins around the house for decoration. One of them decided to rot from the inside with no visible signs on the outside. I found that it had suddenly collapsed and the rotted juices ran all over the place, literally peeling paint off of what it touched. The smell was absolutely rancid, and to this day I still can't do anything pumpkin, even if there's nothing wrong with it. It's a shame too, I used to love pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread and pumpkin beer.

ok your pic thing is cracking us up. I had to call panda-spouse over to look at it. First I thought it was just some gymnastics stuff and then realized they were dropping poos. I don't usually laugh at bathroom humor but that is the schniz.
