Does Miles do a poor job of utilizing young talent?

I think so. He seems reluctant to use the young guys from the start.
Comparing J Jones and R Randle, Jones becomes the man from day 1 and Randle barely makes it on the field last night. I realize that Alabama didn't have the depth at wr when Jones came in but they were not afraid to use him at all.
Then we hear all these quotes about how dangerous Shep is with the ball in his hands and he doesn't even see the field. If the kid is the talent that everyone says then why be afraid to put the ball in his hands?
I think the talent is mismanaged often especially on the offensive side with the younger guys. Opinions?

My opinion is if we had the same result with younger players, everyone would be asking why doesnt miles play the veterans, hes in love with his recruits.

yes
signed josh downs
those guys have 4 and 5 star recruits in front of them who know the entire playbook and have been in the system. they will play and have an important place on the team but they arent going to unseat veterans the first game of the season

No. Patrick Peterson is just one example from last year. Jefferson last year. Josh Downs this year. Help me with this, but I don't remember us playing very many true freshmen prior to Miles' arrival.

He's saving their redshirt year for the next coaching staff!

Im not asking for anybody to be unseated, im just saying we bring in two of the best offensive players in the country and neither of them get a look.

Correct me if I am wrong but the only reason that JJ played was UHHHHH....RP was booted and Lee sucked......FYI the kid from Harvard played ahead of JJ......
