I know they have fallen off over the years, but you got to have some kind of an in-state rival... Right?

should be year to year. No different than any other rent a win, until (unless) Tulane improves.

There is no reason to travel to a 2 win team's home field.

There's a reason that some tradition dies. Even Yankee stadium got torn down because it became a dump.

There is no rivalry to end. Just an in state game series. Should we end the series? Nah.

As long as they come to us to play, I see no reason why they can't keep being our bitch for a night.

If Tech could get better then that would be a cool rivalry.

Right now i would gladly replace Tulane with a half-way decent OOC opponent. I dont care about Tulane at all. How many big time programs consider a small private school their rival?

Ole Miss is our number one rival and finally it looks like it might become a real rivalry like it did in the 50s 60s and 70s...one where LSU isnt always the favorite.

But Tulane being a rival is a joke.

Most young people now dont even know there is a rivalry between the two. Tulane football is dead. We don't need them. I'd rather play aTm every year and get some recruits out of our return trips there.

As long as Dooley is at La. Tech, I can see an in-state rivalry brewing with them. He has the bulldogs improving and competing better than Tulane as of late.

I don't know about ending the "rivalry" but I'd like to see the home-and-home series end.

I'd prefer to play Tulane once every 3 or 4 years. Maybe rotate them with other in-state schools like La-Tech, UL-Lafayette, etc.

If LSU were to drop Tulane, I think they would drop in classification b/c they wouldn't be able to get the min. home attendance numbers to stay I-A.

No. But Tulane never should have left the SEC. And Georgia Tech never should have left the SEC.

That's such a huge what-if. South Carolina would probably be back in the ACC right now, and Arkansas, and not Baylor, would be in the Big XII South.
