USL should have stayed in Div.1-AA-that is where they belong

What is really wrong with being a good 1-AA team and having a chance to compete for a national championship every once in a while. Not to mention there would be some serious in-state rivalry games that would generate some interest.

USL?? What rock have you been hiding under? When they can compete in the sun belt and beat a team like Kansas State everyonce in a while..Why should they drop down a level

no problem with you being new to the board i'm in no way a vetern myself but if you have interest in ULL you shouldn't call them USL ..it takes me back to the Nelson Stokley days

would you rather compete at a D1 lever or go smaller where you program gets even less creditibility and doesn't get as many chances to play the likes of LSU,Tennessee,Nebraska,Kansas State, and make plenty money....you think people would get this excited if ULL had a showdown with the likes of charleston southern?

If i'm not mistaken USL, la tech, ul-monroe, Mcneese and some other teams where in the same 1AA conferece some years ago.

i would rather win a championship in any division then finish 4th every year in the worst conference in D I

Exactly "USL" got retired long ago ..ULL has moved on and is perfectly content where they are and would hope to move into a larger conference someday before they go backwards

my brother played for USL in the 80's.. they have been division 1A for as long as I can remember
besides, not sure if Kansas St or aTm would agree they should be a AA team
there has to be some schools out there that are a notch above the best of AA and a notch below the best of A.

why not just tell him it's ULL not USL and that he could edit his title to maybe say "why isn't ULL in 1-AA (FCS) instead of 1A (FBS)" because they never were in 1-AA? and be nice about it?

You are probably mistaken. USL or ULL has always played in the highest division of the NCAA ... Tech and ULM - not so much

Harry Coleman beast ....they were champions in 2005 and were .500 or near .500 just about every other year and currently are the only team in the conference to be 2-0 ....LSU isn't close to be SEC champs every year...should we join the sunbelt .

Thanks that makes perfect sense to me. "ULL" needs to know who they are. There is nothing wrong with being a very good 1AA team as opposed to a team that has been ranked in the triple digits among 1A school.
