Man I think JJ is awsome. Watched him play in the dome as a senior and left in awe. He is a major talent, and also seems to be a good kid. He only knows how to do one thing--WIN. Did he lose a game as the starting QB while at Destrahan? Should be undefeated at lsu. The dude has terrel pryor type ability! He is a playmaker.
I got into an argument at church today with a guy who said "just think how good we would be if we actually had a quarterback." I dont understand the ignorance of some people. We completed more passess to the other team last year than to lsu players. Is that what these people want? The kid should be UNDEFEATED as the starting Q.B. at lsu. What the frick else can he do? :banghead:
Me too, but what happens when they get the mess beat out them. This happens way more than pulling off a major upset-just think it comes down to apples and oranges when lsu play usl
I think when ulm won that national championship it brought more honor and pride to the university than anything they have accomplished in 1A
I grew up in Delcambre about 20 minutes from "ull" and have watched probebly 50
"ull" games over the years. The atmosphere at the mcneese game was off the charts. I'm just saying if they had more games like that interst in the program would be greater.
I did not mean to start a bunch of shite about my original post but my main point is that "usl" had some very intense rivalries with some in state schools. I think that was a good thing for fans from both sides.
Thats what i though the old gulf coast conference was comprised of 1AA teams and among them was USL
I would guess mcneese and "ull" would have roughly the same academic standards when it comes to athletes they recruit
What are you smoking lsu has whon 2 NATIONAL CHAPIONSHIPS recently?
Thanks that makes perfect sense to me. "ULL" needs to know who they are. There is nothing wrong with being a very good 1AA team as opposed to a team that has been ranked in the triple digits among 1A school.
No, but they seemed pretty excited a couple of years ago when Mcneese came in and bent them over :nana:
If i'm not mistaken USL, la tech, ul-monroe, Mcneese and some other teams where in the same 1AA conferece some years ago.
I am a newcomer to the board, but bring with me a wealth of high school and college football knowledge
What is really wrong with being a good 1-AA team and having a chance to compete for a national championship every once in a while. Not to mention there would be some serious in-state rivalry games that would generate some interest.
I graduated from Mcneese and was at the game two years ago when usl got their asses reamed. What on god's green earth makes these people think they can go to Baton Rouge and win?
