A question for Saints fans

I've had conversations over the last few days with Saints fans that scare me. I've had at least 4 people tell me that Drew Brees is better than Tom Brady. Now I'm not talking statistically. I proposed the question, "If you had to choose one QB for your team for one season who would you choose?" I'm expecting to here Brady and Manning over and over again. Instead I here Brees Brees Brees. Their argument is the yards he threw for last year and how good he looked against Detroit. My question is who here really believes this nonsense? Who here believe Drew Brees is a better QB than the 4 time super champ Tom Brady?

Brady was the QB for three super bowl champions, but rings don't make you a better QB. shite, Dilfer has a ring.

I don't get why you think it's so outlandish. When you compare the top four or so QBs in the league it's splitting hairs anyway. If you have one, might as well support that one.

I'll answer your question like this: If Brees was the QB for New England or the Colts, would they have a drop off? I honestly don't think they would.
I'd take Brees simply b/c I have seen him play more, but any them would be an excellent choice.
And for the record, rings don't mean shite. Dan Marino doesn't have any. Trent Dilfer does.

Come onto a Saints board and ask that? Brees has certainly entered the conversation nationally as perhaps the best NFL player, not just QB. It can be debated but if you call it nonsense you need to go to a Pats board.

I do. His first year here he concerned me with the way he'd always try to thread the needle and fit passes in impossible places. I'd say to myself "who does he think he is, Marino?" By the end of the season I believed.
