top 10 looking one day

Larry Coker coaching on his death bed-looking the next.

What is the problem with them? Anyone with inside scoop?

Anyone can win the ACC. Jesus, Duke might even.

GT 2 wins away from the ACCCG, and the games are against Duke and Wake

Ive already stated several times why. They are probably the most injury plagued team in college football.

They are young and have played a tough schedule. Randy Shananon is a good guy, just not a great coach.

Great contrasting images, Pisces. No matter how you put it, their defense just isn't that good yet.

Some, however, would claim its because they have injuries and no one else does. I won't say who.

JK, dolla. I'm not really in flame mood today.

Good coach, not great coach.

I don't think theyare that inconsistent. They've only looked dominant in one of their games (GT). Other than that, they have looked like a good not great team. I think they have been consistent, it's just that people's conception of them is their one outlier game (GT) and not the rest of their season.

They were outplayed last week against Wake but still managed to win. I saw no reason to think they would suddenly play dominant football again, since they haven't done it all season except for that one game.

I guess this is a topic that has been rehashed here.

I watched them play 3 times this season and I swear, I put them down as a top 5 team after one. I thought the U had restored its image.

Yeah GT should run away with it...but who will they play in the c'ship?

Miami has had a sick number of injuries. I am really glad they lost to Clemson, though

Anyway, here is the injury report from their game against wake the other week

Here is the injury report for Saturday's game against Wake Forest...

quote:

Probable
OL Joel Figueroa – Upper Extremity
K Matt Bosher - Illness

Out
DB Ray-Ray Armstrong – Lower Extremity
FB Patrick Hill – Lower Extremity
RB Javarris James – Lower Extremity
DL Eric Moncur – Lower Extremity
DB JoJo Nicolas – Lower Extremity
LB Sean Spence – Lower Extremity

Surgery and Out for the Season
DL Dyron Dye – Lower Extremity
DL Marcus Forston – Lower Extremity
LB Jordan Futch – Lower Extremity
TE Richard Gordon – Upper Extremity
LB Shayon Green – Lower Extremity
DE Gavin Hardin – Upper Extremity
DB Ryan Hill – Upper Extremity
DE Adewale Ojomo – Jaw

A lot of those guys are starters and Miami hasnt had their first string defense on the field at any point this season.

Pretty big deal and explains the inconsistency.

Baloo, I agree but I also saw them play FSU and while FSU isn't FSU, I was impressed. After week one, I thought JH would compete for Heisman. And I love that kid, too.

God what if Clemson sneaks in to the Orange Bowl to clash with Cincy.

Same here. I knew they were hit with injuries...just not that many guys out for the year.

Quite possible. Clemson gave GT all they wanted earlier this season when it looked like the Jackets would demolish them. Would be an entertaining game.

But, the thought of Clemson in the BCS does, indeed, make me hurl up the lunch I haven't had yet.
