I have seen that a lot of people on this board are blaming Jarret Lee for the hit on Terrance Toliver. Jarret Lee has had a rough time, but come on, the problem was helmet to helmet hit by La Tech back (I think it was #31 Free Safety). It was clear that this was intended to take Toliver out. The guy's arms were at his side, and he launched head first.
Where did the officiating crew come from? I can't believe the NO CALL on this play.

Would have been nice to see someone on our sideline act like they carried that our guy got slammed with no penalty.

Wasn't called because he (Boyd) had his forearms up.

This was a good play by the safety. Try and remember its football OP and that helmets do have to touch every now and then.

He led with his head to Tolliver's helmet. And he had to launch himself to get that high. He could have cut his legs and spun Tolliver a few times, but he chose to go helmet first. 15 yards, no question.

He had to jump straight up to make that head-to-head contact. It was a clear intentional spear. Like the announcer said on TV, there will never be a more obvious personal foul call to make.

Totally agree. He launched himself like a missile at TT's head. I was incredulous at the lack of a call, with the offical being about 7 feel from it. Unbelievable.

Shananigans....looked like helmets touched to me; forearms up or not it looked like helmets made contact...do u have pics that show otherwise, cause I was pissed at the nocall as well? Even the announcers called it helmet to helmet while showing the replay in slow-mo

I can't blame the DB for an intentionally malicious hit, he was just playing the game -- but it was without a doubt a personal foul.

Agreed. It was vicious. Someone should have found him after the game and taught that punk a lesson. It could have ended his career.

I said at the time that Les should have drug that offical to the nearest monitor and made him watch it and demanded an explanation for simply standing and watching as a kid took that kind of hit. What the heck are you even being paid to do if you can't make that call? Of course, I realize that scenario is impossible but that's how furious I was at the time.

Saw it clear as day on TV. His facemask made contact with Tolliver's helmet (helmets make contact on lots of tackles), but he drove his forearms through Tolliver's chest to separate him from the ball.

You're wrong. I saw helmet to helmet. He left the ground and went into Tolliver like a launched missle.

Maybe you should try and remember that there is a rule preventing those type hits.

We can discuss if such hits should be allowed, but there should be no argument that it deserved a flag according to the rules.

That hit is a fine in the NFL.
