All of u that like to point out miles 50-13 record and his record is better than saban etc. Logical reasoning would leave me to believe that if saban came in at the time miles did, he would have 50 or more wins. U can't compare the records due to the state of affairs each came in under. Saban had to rebuild and change a culture. What miles has done has been enormous but would he have been as successful as saban was in turning this thing around? Maybe maybe not

Holy crap - how can you follow that statement with a BUT, unless you're a complete BUTT-HOLE? In that one statement, you have subconsciously made your point - no matter what Miles does, you will always hate him. Time for you to move on to a new team.

Man I don't hate a damn cfb coach. What are u 12?
I will pull for lsu if Castro gets the job. It's just my humble regular Joe opinion on miles. I hope he proves me wrong and wins 10-11 games every year. I would be happy to say hey I was wrong about this guy

I tried, but you obviously don't have the mental capacity to understand. You're a hater who has never gotten over the whole Saban thing. You are fostering an inferiority complex complicated by latent feelings of desire for Saban. You can get help for this. Please do.

So b/c people don't like our coach means they don't like LSU, and have to like a new team. You're retarded. And if you really think Miles would have done the same exact thing Saban did you really are a stupid idiot.

Saban did a great job...but he had talent to work with from DiNardo.
One thing none of you Sabanistas has ever had the courage to admit is that we would not be having this never ending Saban-Miles debate if Saban hadn't fricked LSU and each and every LSU fan in the arse...and then walked away laughing. Get the frick over Saban...he proved to MichSt...LSU...and the Dolphins what a fricking loser he is. Damn good coach...total piece of shite as a man. I'll take Miles and men like him any time over fricking little whores like Saban, Pitino, RichRod or Calipari. Winning with integrity should mean something...obviously a point missed by many on this board.

Another mental giant you are. And again with the Saban love - he's gone - give it up.

no no like he said I don't have the mental capacity to understand.

It has to do with an opinion on ability to run a program, coach etc. It's not a damn personal attack. I have actually met both and had my son pic taken with both at the sec mtgs in sandestin. I will tell u saban was a prick and miles was rubbin my boy on the head and introduced him to his wife. Miles appears to be the better person and saban the arse. TO would rather hang out with miles; rather saban coach. I just feel teams take on personality of their coach

Years 3, 4 and 5 are almost identical for the two coaches. So I don't see a big dropoff between the two. I think the real strength is LSU.

This is just crazy! Look, Miles has done a good job since he has been here. Is he better than Saban, probably not.

LSU had an identity of being a smash-mouth football team with an agressive hard hitting defense. We always had a pretty good running game with an average to above average QB. The defense was largely talented and knew how to play. Pretty much EVERYTHING Bama is now.

Both coached us to 1 MNC. IMHO, there is no doubt Saban knows more about what he is doing than Miles does. Saban is very good on the defensive side of the ball and as long as he has a good OC, Bama will always be very good.

However, Miles does not appear to be good on either side of the ball. Seems to be more of a caretaker of the collective parts.

BTW, just because a fan does not agree with a coach, that does not make him/her an idiot or mean that they should find a new team. LSU is much bigger than ANY HC it has ever or will ever have.

I'm not tryin to slant saban or put miles down actually. I just think it's an interesting debate. If there time periods at lsu were reversed, what do u think would be the result? Same as it is? Would miles have sparked the pgm the way saban did? Would saban have carried on like miles has?

So Saban would have done better? What was his record his last season at LSU? And THOSE were the players that of course everyone says Miles won with, even though Saban couldn't.
