They just opened a new location in Scott.

Has anyone tried it (or one of the other locations)? Opinions?

The Lafayette area is sorely in need of a good BBQ restaurant.

i did, same as the other sites. the atmosphere isn't as cool as the one in ocean springs, but still good food, good beer selection.

Sorry, but I think it's highly overrated. BBQ was decent, but nothing special.

I've been to the Ocean Springs one many times and liked it. Not my favorite BBQ in the world, not bad just too sweet on the sauce, but you get big portions and some good sides.

2 Paul's is better. Good but not great. They do have a huge beer selection.

Say what you want about the BBQ but the place in Ocean Springs is just awesome. My opinion of the BBQ is that it lacks some flavor. Ribs are cooked a little too long and I wonder if they smoke them the whole time or boil them because they lack that smoke flavor. I know I cook much better bbq but I just love their concept.

My daughter and her fiance' ate at the Shed in Scott. They said that the food was just OK. She had the pulled pork and was underwhelmed. She also said that she preferred 2Paul's. He had ribs and brisket and said it was good.

They did say that the music was very good (albeit pretty loud).

I think I will make the trip over in the near future to form my own opinion.

Been to the one in Gulfport. Go for the atmosphere and don't have very high expectations for the food and you will enjoy. Food is not groundbreaking, but ok.

Their ribs are way overcooked. You should have to pull the meat off with your teeth. The meat shouldn't fall off the bone when you pick the rib up

2Paul's.

Anybody know where this place is? Not coming up with anything online.

I'm in Lafayette and searched "The Shed" and got this link, saw the reviews of it and decided I'd rather try 2 Paul's.

It is in Lafayette in the shopping center with Albertson's at the corner of Johnston and South College.

Thx. I waited for a response earlier and finally decided to go to The Shed. Just got back. My review:

Baby Back Ribs: Waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy over cooked. Pretty much mush. I ordered them without sauce and they tasted like someone just cut them out of a vacuum packed bag and steamed them for 2 hrs. No flavor whatsoever.

Spare ribs: Only slightly better than the baby backs. Someone at least attempted to season the outside of these.

Chicken: Pull the bone out tender....too tender. Cant pick up a piece without it falling apart. Heavily sauced. That's all I tasted...sauce.

Pulled Pork: Pleasant surprise after early disappointment. Tasted like maybe it had actually been in a smoker at one point in time. Mine blows him away though.

Brisket: Slight smoke flavoring, drownt (lol) in sauce, which was a disappointment.

All three sides were good, especially the baked potatoe salad and cole slaw.

Overall rating: 5 (only because the sides were above average)
