If we have such a desperate need for wide receivers, this guy is right under our nose. He was the Offensive MVP for the Shreveport Times, First team All-State, and a MAX-Prep.com first team All-American in the small school category along with La'el Collins,Kenny Hilliard, Walker Ashburn, Rasco of Evangel and D.J. Welter. Nick Jacobs and Curtis's Charpentier were on the MAX-Prep 2nd team All-American team. He's 6'2.5, 205, and according to Scout runs a 4.5. I watched all of the state championship games in the Super Dome and he was the best I saw. Curtis couldn't cover him. Am I missing something here??

If Fobbs had played at Evangel, he would've been a 5*. Could you imagine the highlight film he would have out.
BTW, I do think Tank is way underrated.

I think Thomas is a great prospect but he is behind Boone and Fobbs on the board. I could see him getting a late offer if one of those falls through. He produced against top defenses all year if you look at his stats. Evangel played some big time schools before they went into district play and Thomas seemed to have 100+ yards on everyone.

Yes he's one of the best WR's in the state. I played against him this year. However, his grades are absolutely terrible.

Friend of mine who follows and went to ECA has been claiming he is the real deal all year. Been telling me all year he should be a Tiger.

I said 3 weeks ago he was easily one of the 3 best players in the dome that weekend and was told i obviously have no clue what talent is...People in this recruiting board think if LSU isnt on you then your not a top prospect..
Plus, being from Evangel, didnt help him either in some people's eyes...If Rasco, didnt have a sack record as sophomore people here would think he's over-hyped as well.

That has to be it..Just like Churphy from Breaux Bridge..
But, a certain someone who says he did some work for recruiting services. Who prolly never wore a jock strap like most of these rivals guys. Goes on saying the punter is the best prospect. Thats just crazy talk and hating on a school that whipped Curtis.

I agree, the punter, several linemen, and the other wide receiver are all prospects at Evangel. But LSU needs wide receivers, and this guy, to me, stands head and shoulders above anything I've seen in Louisiana this year. He seems to have all the tools in one package, size, hands and speed and I saw him help up one of his Curtis tacklers. Come on!!! I don't know anything about his grades or ACT scores, but surely something could be done to get him to LSU.
