I had lunch with my son and grandson at Olive Street Bistro. Just munched on leftovers for my dinner.

Currently slow cooking red beans and rice with andouille from Maxwell's for dinner tomorrow. Should be ready in one hour. Will let it cool and put in the fridge.

Wife will get up around 2 am and have some. She's on night shift. It's her favorite meal.

It's parade night in my neighborhood, so we'll be roaming from house to house.

had leftover prime filets in the freezer from sons graduation party last year....had to find a way to "hide" the frozen-ness........

made fajitas with them....were really, really good.

cut the steaks thin and heavily seasoned with my favorite dry rub....."flash grilled" them and basted with garlic butter and fresh squeezed lime juice.....

in the food processor, made a bacon infused cilantro ranch cream sauce.....

served with sauteed yellow bell pepper, green bell pepper, and mushrooms....fresh pico......fresh cut avacado........wholly guacamole.......five mexican cheese blend......and 2 bottles of cab (cab started WAY before dinner)

1st time i have ever tried to put all this together....was fantastic. wife called our son and said he should have come over for dinner, he missed out......

Green chili cheeseburger and green chili fries at Coyote Bluff. It is home of the "Burger from Hell"
The Travel Channel came out here and did a little piece on them. They are a dive and they have great food.

Filet Mignon with blue cheese, corn on the cob and cabbage.

I know it is a weird combo, but my daughter got to pick what was for dinner tonight and she wanted steak and corn on the cob. I just happened to have a small head of cabbage that needed to be cooked up.

That Filet with bluecheese sounds great. Did you make a sauce or crumble it on top?

Just crumbled on top. With two young kids itching for their steak, making a sauce was the last thing on my mind.
