He doesn't understand how political parties operate. If the Dems win big in 26 the GOP will take that as a need to move center, not more right in 28.

My best memory of this was the televised debate from the USSR. A US college debate team took on the USSR team on "Communism vs. Capitalism." They had translators and it was before a large audience in a college auditorium in Moscow.
The question that nailed it for the US team was simple: 'If communism is better why must you build walls in Berlin to keep your people in?'
The Soviet team was stunned and the crowd went silent. They had no answer.

Yes, and when someone says: 'OMG! He's screwed up this time!" and then things turn out great....the poster never comes back and says: 'Gee, I sure was wrong about Trump's plan.'
We've seen 5 years of Trump's style. Some people are still not seeing a pattern.
