I dont think its "fake" With the cameras there they know something is going on though.

I thought the Waste Management last week was good. That CEO knew his shite. This week the Hooters CEO was a joke. Typical kid whos Dad did all the work and he is just a lucky loser.

The WM guy was not actually the CEO. He was the COO and president.

Fired and sued. If it was real then I'm sure there are a few lawyers contacting those Hooter girls today.

Very true. From the first commercial I saw about this show, I though, how doesn't anybody recognize the owner of the business?

No matter where you go, there is bound to be a picture of the BIG GUY somewhere in the building.

My main problem with the show was the CEO's solutions to his problems.

I know he did a nice thing by donating $50K to veterans charities in the name of one of his store managers, but how does that make his job easier? Maybe a commitment to hiring more back-end workers would be more appropriate?

a-hole store manager was resolved... how? Fired? Sesitivity training out the arse? Apology? Are you kidding me??

The two Hooters girls being asked to take part in developing a marketing campaign... that was actually okay. I like the idea of showing that there's more to the Hooters girls than meets the eye.

The good former Hooter-girl turned manager (Marcee) is rewarded with a vacation. How about you give her a vacation... THEN try this on for size... why don't you launch a company-wide initiative to identify and train more Hooters girls with management potential, give Marcee a raise and have her play an instrumental role in the effort? That way you advance a good employee, give her better pay and better hours... which means more time with family... and then create more good employees as a result. Seemed kind of obvious to me.

Maybe he's one of the reasons the company is failing so badly.

Even though the manager worked for a franchisee and not Hooters of America, the ceo should have stopped the taping and done everything to have him fired immediately.

This. This show is a joke btw. It's a wonder the economy is like it is. Who the hell is running these companies?

How the hell did this guy(ceo) come to run the company? Is hooters a private corp or public? If I were the board of directors, I'd fire his arse after watching this Undercover boss show.

I actually like the premise of this show..But, I know if someone was wandering around my company with a film cerw, I'd kinda catch on. That one Hooter's manager with the "reindeer games" needs to be locked in the room with those girl's dads and/or boyfriends for an hour.

Exactly right. This guy is a loser. I like how he said he would want his daughters to be Hooters girls. Yeah, right!

Excellent point, he has a good employee with her.

I loved his solution for the morale problem at the sauce factory.
I'm sure some placating manager coming around to shake hands will make the employees work harder and completely forget about the fact that their bonuses had been cut when he took over.

A couple of observations:

1) The military type manager knew he was on camera (for a documentary). He was a little over the top. He would not have been himself on camera.
2) They got stuck with 2 ugly girls to do the Marketing campaign...I thought I heard they would be on printed material.
3) No way does JIMBO keep working at his job. If he didn't quit or get fired, every swinging dick that walks into that Hooters will clown his arse.
4) The Naturally Fresh people don't care how many times he says hello. They want their bonus' back.
5) If he thinks it's OK for his two daughters to work as Hooters girls, he is not fit to run that company.

I think the Hooters CEO showed that he was a half-assed owner in the fact that he did not even make the effort to travel to any locations outside of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area even though he later claimed to his audience outside of headquarters that he "went undercover all across the country." If that bad manager (did he remind anyone else of Biff from "Back to the Future") was not dealt with on the spot, then the whole thing had to be staged.

Also, why did they not bring in the guy from the factory to reveal his identity to him? Or come up with solutions to better the "family image" that they deemed was lacking since the father died?

Enjoyed the WM episode, but I think I'm done with the show after the Hooters episode.

He HAS to say that. Otherwise no girls would want to work for him.

I think the female manager should have been used in the marketing. Could show that it was a way for Hooters girls to have a career at Hooters other than showing off their flesh . . . . not that there is anything wrong with that.

He didn't even have to go there, or show his kids on camera. Marketing ploy...I agree. I don't believe him, though.
