It may be a bit too late as far as LSU fans are concerned, but High Definition (HD) instant replay is coming to the SEC next season. The folks on the Bayou are still lamenting Patrick Patterson's "interception" on the sideline last season against Alabama that wasn't ruled an interception on the field or the replay booth.

If you think HD would made a difference your crazy. The outcome of that replay was determined before the ref even went under the hood.

In college, replay is view upstairs in a booth, but I agree with your point.

who was the guy that was bear bryant's best friend that was the "communications liason" or some shite in the replay booth?

it still won't fix anything. i watched the game on standard def and could clearly see that PP had the pick.

exactly. it's not going to make a difference.. some refs need to be revoked for such decisions after replays.

i wish they would take the nfl's version of replay. in college, it's some jack leg in the booth telling the ref what he sees. the nfl, the ref sees the play and makes the call. if they went this way, it might cut down the bad replay calls cuz it'd be left totally on the ref. and he'd have no excuse for the bad call. he would be 100% accountable.

You mean the GT alum that was only questioned because he was in the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame?

some shady business obviously went down on that call either way. No one, not even Saban, would say that wasn't an interception.

quote:that's him; the guy from alabama who in spite of UA's top notch engineering program decided to go to Georgia Tech of all schools. The one who speaks at Alabama booster club meetings and wrote a book about how bear bryant is the best friend he ever had or will have.

We're talking about the same guy; what's his name?

Good. We can see their mistakes more clearly.

That was thinly veiled sarcasm. I don't know his name, and had never heard of him before this "controversy".

Yeah I didn't know Patrick Patterson played basketball for UK and football for us
