He's a Top 10 for sure, but maybe not #1.

He has durability issues. Not a top caliber between the tackles runner either; Thomas is not going to be able to string plays out to the sideline as much in college.

Also, I have heard some evaluators think he has more upside as a CB or FS.

With that said, I hope he goes to USC!

I think he is Jahvid Best if he plays offense and Eric Berry if he plays D its a no lose situation.

Players like him don't end up #1. He will be very highly ranked, but a guy with as many question marks as him won't be the top player.

meh, I'm not even sure he's the number one RB, he's definitely not the number 1 WR.

ETA: His DB film isn't impressive either.

If you want to see a number one type of film, check out james wilder jr.

James Wilder Jr =

Mamba did not impress me at all. Landry's reel reigns in my eyes along with Copeland(2010)

James Wilder is a beast for sure. I like Jadeveon Clowney for overall #1. Malcolm Brown is my favorite RB for the class of 2011.

Wilder is a manchild. Looks like Adrian Peterson. He is the truth. That is the only video I have seen of him.

I like Thomas. To the Guy that said he wasn't impressed than I don't know what you want to see. Kid has crazy acceleration and initial burst. Decent break away speed. Excellent vision and agility. Could contribute right away. Like a Lamichael James. But I like him better at corner. He had a knack for the ball. And he seemed like a solid open field tackler. His offensive skills transitions him nicely for defense. IMO he is a 5 STAR player.

I don't think it really matters who the #1 player is. That is more of a beauty pageant IMO. The kid is a solid 5 star talent without a doubt and will make a great addition to the program lucky enough to land him.

Here3's your job. Find out who that LB/S was that cought him from behind on that long run up the far sideline. He was # 9 I think and he has to be 6'2" and over 200. (he was standing next to him right after play).

THAT guy is the best prospect on the tape! Holy cow, at his size and he ran that guy down, might I say pretty easily.

The kid has great speed I will give him that. And I guess that I should rephrase my statement: I have been so in awe of the highlights of Landry and Copeland that overshadowed Thomas'. The kid is talented don't get me wrong. He almost won me over until Flask just introduced Wilder Jr.

I didn't say I wasn't impressed, I just don't think he's the number one player. I don't understand why everyone is spooging all over themselves about this guy. He's good, but it's not like this is Adrian Peterson's film.

Yep, I spent the whole film in shock at the Momba's speed and laughing at him blowing away all the others on film. Then I see this #9 flat out walking his arse and dropping him from behind. The kid has hieght and size and truly is THE prospect on that film.

The Momba will be a nice back, but needs a lot of size added to be big time at the next level. His is great though, no mistaken that.

Nuff said. Very few have that type of highlight film. Maybe Noel Devine, Reggie Bush and Percy Harvin. But very few can match AP. That dude is sick with it. Thomas is a baller. If he was a Tiger lean or even looking at us I would be licking my chops.

I'm asking world to see if he knows who #9 is. If anyone would know, then he would. He has Cali recruiting on lock down.
