Inside info about UVA murder

Some friends of mine close to the program, including his friends from Landon, just let me in on some background info.
... apparently was having sex with her a few weeks back and put a pillow over her head. She told her mom about it and was in the process of having a restraining order put out against him. He admitted to the crime this morning. He strangled her to death.

i think its because a lot of these lacrosse players come from upper class families and are all spoiled and used to getting what they want...they don't know how to deal with being told no. look at the elite lacrosse programs in the NCAA...uva, johns hopkins, duke...those schools scream elitist white person.

College lacrosse players are mostly rich white kids a lot of them spoiled thats not a news flash.

And other than the Duke case where the DA was disbarred and sent to prison for fabricating an entire case to win re-election, this "sense of entitlement and privilege" manifested itself in what way until this morning?

i've had my fair share of hanging out with lacrosse player's and many of them are douchebags.

Generally being douchebags. Even the stuff the Duke lacrosse kids actually did showed they were douches.

In a group of 30-35 guys, one used the N word while about 20 were drinking underage. Not the scourge of underage drinking...only rich white kids do that.

Didn't the school have problems with players on the team going around and constantly getting into fights and having drunk and disordelies before their scandal?

just a random thing as well, but....
the kids that have the most trouble at my school with drugs, alcohol, etc... are the lacrosse players. i dont know what it is, but they have a knack for getting caught.

I never never read anything about a player getting arrested for a fight on campus (and never saw them getting in fights myself).
I know the News and Observer had an article with all the arrests in a 5-year period, and they were the most non-threatening kinds, MIPs, public urination, and noise violations.
They missed the only serious arrest, which was Finnerty getting in a bar fight outside of a bar in DC over the summer. Then, the most (only) relaxed hippie guy on the team got pulled over at the start of the summer with like a .23 or something Diana Taurasi would be proud of in Durham
, but that was a few months after the incident.
