BWAHAHAHA...the idea may be fine, and I am not commenting on it, but I am laughing at the idea that BP, with annual profits in the $Billions, is now going to just try and shove some old junk in the well to plug it up. They could have gotten some drunk redneck to come up with this plan.

This must have been the worst thing they could have said/done from a PR standpoint. They should have at least used more technical names for them. Everyone is hammering them hard for it now.

Didn't NASA use duct tape, a shoe box, a ziploc bag, and an air cartrige to get the astronauts of Apollo back to earth a while back?

There's a difference between that being all they had in SPACE vs what can be manufactured here on Earth.
