You're not going to have imbalanced divisions, right? Is it reasonable to assume we would cherry pick the best suitable candidate for an addition to the East, and essentially repeat our 1990/92 maneuver?

Yeah I have been wondering who would be added to the east, appears to be either Florida State or Virginia Tech, probably Va Tech because Florida wants to remain the only school in Florida.

We could add two big 12 teams, i.e. A&M and Texas or Oklahoma but I don't think that's likely, or we add A&M and Va Tech or FSU (or possibly Ga Tech or Miami, etc.)

The other thing about expansion is that there has been a lot of talk about the SEC as a whole might do this, or that, is biding their time, etc. but what you don't hear is how individual schools feel about joining.

For instance, the FSU athletic director spoke to Jimbo about his opinion. I assume this is happening with Saban, Meyer, etc. The competitive issue (more competition = harder to succeed) is very much secondary to economics, so ultimately AD's and presidents are not going to decline to add just b/c their head coach or whoever is against.

I would still like to hear more about how LSU feels about school X or Y joining, how Bama feels, etc.

If we can't get TAMU, SEC need to go for:

FSU, Miami, UNC, Duke.

Big names, good academics, overall decent programs (except Duke football)
