a friend of mine lives in Norman and is a follower of OU football. She said a Pac10 official was intown yesterday for a meeting and the talk around town is all OU to the Pac10.

Like I mentioned before, Billy doesn't usually go public with big information until he has solid sourcing or permission from the athletic dept.

So if he and Chip Brown are both correct, A&M should call the Board of Regents mtg tomorrow, and hold the vote on Tuesday or Weds.

Absolutely. A&M is cool with me. It'll be easier to snag TX recruits..

Not surprising. You know Oklahoma will always follow step in line whatever Texas wants.

YOU must know who to listen to and who not too, when it comes the the Ags, so would you say ya"ll are SEC bound?

Unless a bomb goes off, I would expect a vote by the regents to join the SEC no later than Thursday, but maybe as early as Tuesday depending on their mtg notification req'ts.

But I've had no direct contact w/ anyone important, just, as you said, listening to some people and ignoring some others based on credibility.

FWIW, I think it's in our interest to hold the vote as quickly as possible, before Dodds can weave another misinformation campaign.

If all goes well I think we need to start a campaign right here from A&M & LSU fans. That the introductory game for A&M into the SEC be between the Tigers and the Aggies.

renew the rivalry

Open the 2011 season, the question is Baton Rouge or College Station?

We used to start the season off together, why not do it again?

I'm still nervous that our AD might screw this up to save face with Dodds.

I'd rather have home and home. Aggies in death valley. Tigers at Kyle Field.

Nothing against Baton Rouge, but it would be a blast (and a marketing bonanza) to have ESPN open its SEC on ESPN season from Kyle Field, home of the SEC's newest member!

What assurances do the Aggies have that the SEC will extend the offer?
