I am so sick of the remake machine in HWood, but I was wondering if there was anything (TV, Movie, book, comic) that you all think should be remade/made into a new movie?

Go...

How about Hwood remakes the GiJoe movie from last year. That gets an instant-remake approval from me.

There are plenty IMO, but I'm not in the "omg nothing should be remade" camp.

I am not in that camp, either. But some things should never be "remade."

Star Wars
Casablanca
Gone with the Wind
Indiana Jones
The Godfather
Jaws
The Goonies...the list goes on.

"Curse of the Demon" from 1958 with Dana Andrews.

Andrews plays an American psychiatrist who has been asked to investigate a fellow doctor in Britain who supposedly holds an ancient Satanic writing on centuries-old parchment that, when passed to another person, summons a horrible creature.
The film showed spine-chilling sound effects and 'around-the-corner' suspense until the monster appears, which back then when I watched it in the 60's scared the living hell out of me.
The monster sort of looks hokey now though.

With the right special effects and a more believable creature, this would be a great mystery/horror remake.

I always kick myself for thinking that Tarkovsky's Stalker could be remade into an entertaining sci-fi flick. The setup is really interesting, just tone down the philosophy and make The Zone a tangible threat. Then I snap out of it and think no way this should be done.

The book "The Giver" I think would make an awesome movie.

Rosemary's baby.

Just to see what they'd do with it with today.

Oh there are for sure some things that should never be remade, but I don't think that list is super extensive.

There are some movies that are being remade that people get mad about and I'm just like "really?"... who gives a shite.

I think that would be a kick arse remake.

But you'd need to set it in outer space.

Could've been a Bond-level franchise if done correctly

I am indifferent about It's a Wonderful Life. It would be cool to have a modern day version, but I am very afraid they would screw it up.

That's pushing it, but it could have been not horrific.
