QB play is an ongoing nightmare!

We have Jefferson and Lee for the rest of this year and all of next year, with NOTHING behind them. So, even if the recruit a top qb, start a true freshman in 2012, we won't feasably have a decent qb unti 2013. And that's a best case scenario.

Saw enough yesterday to have a little hope in Lee.
JJ is useful running the option around the goal line.

This
He will surprise some folks before his time at LSU is over.

The top jr. college QB is looking at LSU and Texas A&M and its looking like TAMU is gonna fire their coach so this makes LSU even more apealing thats if we don't fire our coach first

Lee is ok to start v Florida
JJ is not ready for Florida.
JJ should get snaps v McNeese.

I only saw the first half, but I was actually encouraged by our offense output.
Lee made some nice short throws. Then when Jefferson came back in after Lee's first series, JJ made two of the best throws he's made this year, hitting Peterson and TT in stride.
And it seemed like Crowton opened the playbook a little, which was nice to see.
It was stupid things killing drives; holding penalty, intentional grounding penalty, Murphy just dropping the ball, etc. But the offense was putting together some 7 to 9-play drives. They just need to get points out of those drives.

Well, Lee's gonna need some meaningful playing time without rotation to establish a rhythm with our receivers. Otherwise, Lee being in ball game is a moot point.

no it's not. we're after Zach Mettenberger, the QB that got kicked out of UGA and is at a JUCO. he'll have 3 yrs left after this one.
best case is Lee plays better and better this yr, we get a new OC, we sign Mett, he gets to sit next yr behind Lee, and then starts '12 and '13.

Why? If he hasn't shown by now that he's incapable of leading the offense... why take away snaps from Lee????
