re: Handgun Round for Deer Hunting

Posted by Nigel Tufnel on 11/13/12 at 2:53 pm to
I say S&W 500. I like knockdown. That said, no matter what you get, I think the best option would be a revolver. Semi auto pistols severly limit the optics choices, and it's not worth wounding several deer figuring that out.
I'm confused. Are you referring to the land mass between New Orleans and Mobile?
Building your own will always save you money. I have a Smith & Wesson M&P 15. I paid $920 for it from Impactguns.com. Came standard with quad picatinny forend, low profile gas return, flip up Magpul sights and Magpul magazine. If your looking to build. I suggest the following sights:

Del-ton.com
M1sales.com
Impactguns.com

There are also good forends, grips and stocks at:

leapers.com
ATI.com

Good luck and let us know how it turns out!

True dat!

I think we should lay off the Respectable Reverend Cecil Newton. He is certainly a man I would want heading my church. He is full of integrity, honesty and charachter whose moral compass is incorruptable. I hear he gets good deals on laptops too.
My apologies. And to answer the question, 10-2 at LSU was an unsuccessul year. A 20% improvement at qp play would have us in the NC game. LSU fans were calling for Miles head when they finished 2009 with only eight wins. I guess my point is, we had the talent to sustain winning the or competeing for the west and SEC, and have underperformed. Auburn will be losing most all of the talent on the team, so I would lower the expectations a bit.

Now that we have reached the pinnacle will our expectations for a successful season be changed?

I think Auburn fans should hold on to this one for a while, it is unlikely you will win 5 games next year. So start thinking "One Hit Wonder". It will be even worse when it gets taken away a couple of years from now. You should post this question on USC message boards.
I heard he was supposed to be doing the math on how much money they would make staying at Auburn vs. going to the NFL. He must have finished it up early.

Hey man... Did you hear about what happened to Sadam Hussein? They FOUND him... yeah, they also hung him for his punishment... Wasn't sure if you caught the news since you're so far behind the curve here.

You serious? They caught Saddam? I bet the next thing your going to tell me is that we landed on the moon. Troll elsewhere!

Now that Miles is staying...

What's the word on Crowton?

Will Miles still be stubborn and play Jefferson all season?

How will Mettenberger fit into the mix?

Give me your thoughts!
Auburn is bad because after paying Cam Newton, they don't have any money left to pay their basketball players.
Les may not be in Dallas. You know how he is with clock management.

Calandro's in Baton Rouge. Best ever!
Keep hunting. I like to donate a deer or hog to the food kitchen every year.

re: what would you do.....

In this situation, does it matter that it's a pitt bull. I wouldn't care if it was a "wild" golden retriever. If a dog was killing the game on my land...KA-BOOOOOM!!!!
I have a 3 year daughter who I can't wait to start brining. What's a good age to get them started? I only have one girl, so I don't have to divide my time. I may post this question as a new thread.
A few years ago, I was sitting in a climber on Sherburn WMA. It's public so I decided to get out there early. So I got out there about 3:45 am and set my phone alarm to vibrate to wake me up. When it did, I opened my eyes and saw a huge f'ing owl sitting on the crossbar of my climber. He turned his head when the vibration started, I woke up and nearly shite myself. The owl freaked out and started flapping his wings, it sounded and felt like I was in the middle of a tornado. Needless to say I was pretty awake and alert for the hunt. Didn't see a deer all day.
Use 50/50, but I hog hunt and supply my own pork. You can hog hunt all year, and at night when it's not hunting season. So if you love to hunt, this is the way to go. Helps me scratch the itch between deer seasons.
And just think, there in one more year of this. So get used to it!
The key to this game is not letting Jordan Jefferson get on the bus to go. If Miles can do that, they should hava a good chance at winning. It will then come down to clock management at the end once again. Is there a plan? Has Miles learned how to do that spikey thing? Given the history of these two teams, the last 30 seconds may determine the outcome.

Well, Lee's gonna need some meaningful playing time without rotation to establish a rhythm with our receivers. Otherwise, Lee being in ball game is a moot point.

QB play is an ongoing nightmare!

We have Jefferson and Lee for the rest of this year and all of next year, with NOTHING behind them. So, even if the recruit a top qb, start a true freshman in 2012, we won't feasably have a decent qb unti 2013. And that's a best case scenario.
It's brilliant in the fact that 1. it's true, 2. it's art immitating life, 3. change the colors and it could be sold throughout the country.
What's it gonna take for Miles to put his foot on the throat of his opponents? He is way too soft, and terrible.

I somehow don't think it was classy on your part given the setting/situation. There is a time and place for tigerbaiting, and this perhaps wasn't one.

That's horseshite. It's ALWAYS appropriate to tigerbait. I did it at a funeral once.
