Why attempt a TD pass there?
They could have given Ivory a carry to break 100 yards.

I was actually a little surprised by this, as Payton is usually good about these things. I don't know what their thought process was, but I'm sure he had a reason.
I would've actually kicked a FG and given Hartley more practice.

you cannot kick the field goal in that situation - if it gets blocked and returned for a TD you give the Sea Chickens a chance. That being said, I thought he would run it there. I did not see it as running up the score though.

That's real good calling out SP and Drew after the way Petey acted all day yesterday. He spent more time on the field whining than his players did playing. The refs should have given him some Midol and sent him to the locker room.

Kicking a FG = free points (with a kicker other than Hartley, obviously)
Going for it = gives the defense a chance to make a play and is a much lower percentage play in and of itself
I saw an Eagles game years ago where some team kicked a FG late in the 4th while up on Philly by quite a bit and there was nearly a massive brawl on the field
