THIS.
From a PROGRAM standpoint the Cap 1 is better.

Cotton, Cap One is a joke and shouldn't be considered the best bowl outside of the BCS.

I won't disagree with this, However MONEY is MONEY. EXPOSURE is EXPOSURE. LSU will get more exposure in the Cap one against a top ten team at NOON on New Years Day, compared to a FRIDAY night at 7 o" clock 6 days after the 1st.

Cotton will pass up Cap1 and be a part of the BCS, probably as early as 2013. That's why they moved the game to primetime on jan.7th LINK

The Dallas Cowboys' new 80,000-seat stadium in Arlington, Texas might be just the key to unlock the Cotton Bowl's inclusion in one of college football's most exclusive clubs: The BCS.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who has a special place in his heart for the Cotton Bowl after helping Arkansas win the national championship there in 1965 with a win over Nebraska, hopes the bowl game that has been played since 1937 can join the BCS, according to a published report.
